The Annual Fun Fourth Festival is recognized as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism society and an Outstanding Event by Celebration NC Foundation. The Fun Fourth Festival is produced by Grassroots Productions Limited. This local non-profit corporation focuses on charitable and educational activities which foster interest in local history and events in Guilford County. An advisory board of local business and civic leaders oversees the planning of each event for this 501(c)3 organization. The Fun Fourth Festival has been presented annually since 1975 as a community celebration of Independence Day for Guilford County and the Piedmont Triad. The festival is held in the Cultural District of Downtown Greensboro and at Grimsley High School.

Walk for Unity and be prepared to lose yourself in the Fun 4th rope labyrinth stretching 30 feet across Center City Park. Similar to a maze, the labyrinth will have a spiraling path to its center that guests are invited to explore throughout the day. The labyrinth, designed by artist Vicki Longhofer, will be embellished with paper stars that Festival-goers can decorate in honor of a loved one or with any design that is meaningful to them.

Souvenir Booth in front of the Cultural Center on Davie Street -- browse through the Red, White & Blue treasures, this year's Fun Fourth T-shirts and favorite Fun Fourth T-shirts of past years - all available for sale.

Greensboro Historical Museum at Lindsay & Church Streets -- check out some of the fascinating ways Greensboro has developed since its founding in 1808. Selected exhibits open. High Lonesome Strings Bluegrass Jam 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Backyard of Museum in Richardson Park: Heritage crafts, log cabins open.

2nd NC Regiment of the Continental Line re-enactors at Richardson Park, adjacent to the Greensboro Historical Museum -- see how our Revolutionary War soldiers lived. Live musket firings at 12noon, 1:30pm, 3:15pm and 5:40pm.

Letters to the Troops Tent in front of the Cultural Arts Center on Davie Street -- write a note to our active service personnel to let them know you care!

Kids Crafts and Games in Center City Park-- create your own masterpiece, get a fun, washable tattoo, laugh with Tyca the Clown (11am-2pm) or play some games with the family, courtesy of ArtQuest, Center for Visual Artists, Greensboro Children's Museum and Fun Fourth.

Cool Mist Tents at Festival Park by Stage 1 and in the Amusements area at Elm & Bellemeade -- run through and cool off your inner fireworks!
