The Annual Fun Fourth Festival is recognized as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism society and an Outstanding Event by Celebration NC Foundation. The Fun Fourth Festival is produced by Grassroots Productions Limited. This local non-profit corporation focuses on charitable and educational activities which foster interest in local history and events in Guilford County. An advisory board of local business and civic leaders oversees the planning of each event for this 501(c)3 organization. The Fun Fourth Festival has been presented annually since 1975 as a community celebration of Independence Day for Guilford County and the Piedmont Triad. The festival is held in the Cultural District of Downtown Greensboro and at Grimsley High School.

Rides

2012 rides may include: 24’ Rock Climbing Wall, Adrenaline Maze Obstacle Course, Jurassic Adventure, Trackless Train, Kiddiepiller Crawl Through, Giant 24’ Dual Slide, Carousel Moon Bounce, Mechanical Jitterbug Swing and Tubs of Fun.

Games

2012 games may include: Slam Dunk Basketball Challenge, Double Shot Basketball, Radar Speed Pitch, Hi Striker, Mini Hi Striker and the festival favorite, Balloon Darts.

Tickets

All rides and games will accept only tickets for payment. No cash accepted. Tickets can be purchased at Ticket Tents located in the Rides area. Amusements & Rides prices range from $2-$6. NO REFUNDS on tickets.

Greensboro Youth Council Corner

Come check out your skills with archery, ball toss, hopscotch and checkers. Groove to the DJ Dance Party from 10:30am-12:30pm and see if you have what it takes to win a dance competition. Pick out your favorite design to have painted and let the GYC face painters turn you into a work of art!
